Come one, come all - hurry hurry, here's your chance... see the mystery and romance. Arcane's annual Halloween Festival is an event for the masses. Normally, the upper class and pleasant villagers have a great street festival... while the slum crowd has their own street party. More often than not, these two parties collide into one free-for-all that happens through out the city. Enjoy being someone else for the night... but beware what all Hallows Eve can bring!

Living well? Then you're living here. The residential area is full of homes, located near the edge of the downtown area - distant enough to drown out the traffic and city noise... but close enough for the residents to get to the inner city within an hour. Here, you will find mansions held by the more powerful families in the city - and quaint, cozy housing owned by the everyday people who can afford it. No ill behavior is found here, since many of the crime stays inside the city - and those responsible for said-crime cannot afford such comforts. Still, mind your neighbors, and lock your doors. Just on the safe side.

Enjoy the simpler things? Prefer small, unique shops, rather than big city businesses? Then the Village District is the place for you; filled with cobbleways and novel architecture - you can spend hours and hours exploring the bookstores, shops, bistros and cafes. It's nightlife is perfect for friendly browsing, or stylized entertainment. It is actually quite the 'trendy' spot for artists and those who appreciate art and theatrical entertainment. A few dinner cabaret's and pubs, and large twinkling lights complete the atmosphere of this romantic little gem.

Anything you could ever want... and more. The downtown core is home to some of the most powerful companies in the city; it's littered with dazzling appeal, from expensive stores, to firms, and distributors. Glamor and glitz is never far from the main city streets. While a bit dangerous at night, it is still safer than some of the surrounding areas. Here, you can find the most prestigious people in the city, working and running the place; those in law, in trade, in business and finance... they all congregate here, and it's nothing but the best. The city does very well. But don't stray too far... because around the corner from bright lights and traffic... lies Wonderland.

Around the bend from the core downtown - is a weird place; dark and disorienting, full of twists, turns and alleyways designed to confuse and misguide first-time visitors. Welcome to Wonderland. The area is known for it's crime, and drug underworld; filled with seedy shops, gambling, and drug abuse. Visitors must be weary - since these Wonderland dwellers don't take kindly to newcomers... and make a point to drive them out by thievery, mockery, or strange behavior. So be warned. Unless you're a regular, you'll be lost in a maze of insanity. You'll be able to find all extremes here, from head shops and drug dens, to underworld fights and gambling, to a rehab clinic and finally, the city's asylum.

Welcome to Arcane Asylum; located on the outer boarders of the city, just past Wonderland. With good reason, considering most of the inhabitants of the asylum come from that district. A large looming building, the asylum is constantly housing sentenced criminals and the clinically insane. Many are sentenced there by Judge Claude Frollo for life, however, it is not unheard of for prisoners to escape through it's series of underground tunnel mazes. Provided they find their way out before starving to death. It is also not unheard of for them to plead 'addiction' and get transferred back to the rehab clinic... especially if they get a decent district attorney on their side. Regardless, it's not a pleasant place. There is a maze around the size, that was constructed by the inmates during 'outdoor' time - so you shouldn't venture in and risk getting lost in a place built by the insane.

No man's land, essentially. The city dwells in the middle of large mountains, ridges and hills, that protect it from outside harm. However, if you venture to these outskirts, you best go well prepared... and with someone who knows their way. Anything goes here, and there is nothing to protect you against the elements, or those crazy enough to pull something. It's easy to get lost in these sheltered pathways and rock ridges, and it's even easier to fall and break your neck, if not get seriously injured. There's a reason the city is so self efficient and isolated - because it's so hard to travel elsewhere, and extremely dangerous. So beware when attempting to leave the city you know, and enter the wild and dark places without.
